Pay: £11.05 Per Hour (London Living wage)

Purpose of the role:
We’re looking for a proactive Change Agent (Assistant Facilitator) with strong communication and administration skills to join our team. Delivering excellence in candidate experiences and programme support, this wide-ranging role encompasses online event management, customer service, technology and administration. For the right candidate, there is plenty of scope for growth and development in the role, as well as the opportunity to contribute to innovation and development within the team.
You will also be responsible for delivering mentoring to young people / adults on the community I AM CHANGE programme.
Role:
As a Agent Coach you will be responsible for ensuring our online / physical candidates for the I AM CHANGE programme have the best experience by providing support and information to maximise their programme progress and engagement.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
• Managing event logistics for programme launches, Insight Talks, online sessions, physical sessions, and graduation events, from planning and preparation through to delivery and evaluation.
• Establishing and maintaining effective systems to meet business needs, including progress tracking, work planning, reporting cycles, registrations.
• Maintaining effective communication across the various cohort groups.
• Leading/delivering on key projects to support the growth and development of the I AM CHANGE programme and its work as needed.
• Supporting the wider operations team as needed.
The role is to support their group members by:
· Empowering them to resolve current issues and to develop coping strategies for the future.
· Provide a model for a healthy, trusting relationship through clear communication and setting appropriate boundaries.
· Acknowledging their strengths, talents and gifts and encouraging them to find ways to use them.
· Be an active listener and offer support and encouragement when appropriate.
· Engage in activities outside of the home to help expose youth to new opportunities and experiences.

Main requirements and duties of the role:
1. To provide group mentoring / support to the young people referred to the service on a 12- session basis.
2. To appropriately plan and organise outcomes-focused activities to engage young people during sessions, underpinned by methods of supporting young people to over-come individual social, educational and emotional barriers and create personal development plans for the future. (Training will be provided)
3. To establish a positive and interactive relationship with each young person.
4. To help each young person to develop or begin to develop life skills and to accomplish specific goals.
5. To provide awareness of community, educational and economic resources available to young people and their families, and how to access these resources.
6. To monitor the progress of each mentee and record a short report after each group session.
7. To gather monitoring and evaluation data from each young person/mentee.
8. Facilitating the seamless running of every 2020 Change Session, greeting guests, preparing meeting/session rooms, leading ice breaker games etc
9. Responsible for collecting snacks ahead of each session

• High level of attention to detail.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Right to work in the UK.
• This post is subject to an enhanced police check of previous criminal convictions with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
· Experience working with disengaged young people facilitating youth work, mentoring, advice or guidance.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
· Experience in the delivery of youth initiatives focussing on good relations, citizen-ship and personal development.
· Experience of working with the community & voluntary sector.
· Personal commitment to addressing the needs of the most socially excluded young people and those who are not in education, training or employment
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
· Proven track record in assisting young people reduce personal barriers to education, training and employment.
· Experience of using evaluation tools/outcome measures to monitor the impact of youth work.
· Ability to film and edit content for social media
